ABINGDON, VA July, 2026) – Progressive Grocer’s Top Women in Grocery initiative recognizes the key role women play in the food and grocery industry. Food City store manager, Brooke Seals was selected as one of this year’s winners.

Progressive Grocer receives hundreds of nominations from all sectors of the industry across the nation. This year’s winners were showcased in their June issue and will be recognized in November at their annual awards gala in Orlando, FL.
Seals currently serves as the store manager of Food City’s location in Trenton, Georgia, leading a team of more than 140 associates. In 2025, Seals and her team successfully completed a major remodel and expansion project while remaining fully operational throughout the process. This achievement required precise planning and execution – balancing daily operations, coordinating ongoing construction, and hiring and training new associates to support expanded services. Seals demonstrated remarkable resilience, adaptability, and leadership, all while maintaining high standards and continuing to operate a top-performing store.
Seals is a strong leader and mentor who is deeply committed to serving her customers and developing her team. She is a member of Food City’s EMPOWER program, which supports female associates through education, mentorship, and fellowship. She also serves on Food City’s KARE committee, which provides assistance to company associates during times of need.
