Mrs. Jewell Baldwin Cousin’s 85th Birthday Celebration
A small group of friends and family came together on Saturday, April 16th to celebrate the upcoming 85th birthday of Mrs. Jewell Baldwin Cousin.
Mrs. Cousin is a retired educator in the Chattanooga Public School System. She has been a classroom teacher, Assistant Principal, Title 1 Supervisor and Title 1 Director, Head Start Director, Personnel Administrator, and elementary school principal.
Mrs. Cousin is a member of the Howard School Class of 1955—the first class to graduate from the “new” Howard. She is active in the community with the Tennessee State Alumni Chattanooga Chapter and the Outreach Committee of Christ Church Episcopal. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., the Chattanooga Alumnae Chapter. Past involvements included Christ Church Episcopal lay reader and vestry member; president of the Tennessee Association of School Personnel; president of East Tennessee Retired Teachers Association; president of the Chattanooga Retired Teachers Association; vice president of the Southside Chamber; the Tennessee Development Youth Commission; and board member of the American Red Cross. Mrs. Cousin is an avid bridge player.
We are elated to have her as a leader in our family. Mrs. Cousin has two adult daughters, Constance Morris and Marolyn Cousin.
