On Saturday, BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee hosted a Signing Day celebration on Cameron Hill for the fifth cohort of its BlueSky Tennessee Institute. Launched in 2022, BlueSky Institute is a partnership between BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee and East Tennessee State University that offers a 27 month, year round pathway for students to earn a Bachelor of Science in computing while gaining paid, real world experience through internships at the company’s Chattanooga headquarters.
By combining academic coursework, hands on technical training, mentoring, and wraparound support, BlueSky Institute is building a pipeline of job ready information technology, cybersecurity, and computing professionals who graduate with the opportunity to step directly into full time roles at BlueCross.
