Various photos – The Alton Park Development Corporation (APDC) hosted its 11th Annual 2025 Chattanooga Humanitarian Awards Gala in October, drawing community leaders and activists together under the theme, “I Am My Brother’s Keeper.” The annual gala is APDC’s signature event and celebrated a distinguished group of 12 honorees–a mix of elected officials, faith leaders, legal advocates, and community pillars, recognized for their commitment to social justice, civil rights, and neighborhood development.
The event held in the Mountainside Ballroom at the Chattanooga Civic Center highlighted the dedication of those working to uplift the historic Alton Park and Piney Woods neighborhoods. Dr. Elenora Woods is Executive Director of Alton Park Development Corporation.
