Organization Rallies Avondale Community for Anti-Gun Violence Protest Walk

    Avondale Community members and leaders gathered Sunday for a friendly protest, organized by The B.R.A.V.E. Effect – a reentry program for the formerly incarcerated, to bring awareness to gun violence in the area. The group rallied at the Avondale YFD Community Center before marching down Dodson Avenue and connecting streets with signs displaying encouraging messages of peace, love and hope for residents. Participants stopped to talk with neighbors about problems and changes they want to see while inspiring other to join the cause.
