CHATTANOOGA, TENN. – Erlanger VolunTEENs program is now accepting applications for the 2025 summer program. High school students ages 15 to 18 interested in a career in healthcare are encouraged to apply.

This six-week program will allow high school students to directly support Erlanger staff and patients. Students will gain hands-on experience and exposure to the day-to-day workings of healthcare in both clinical and non-clinical departments.  The program is available at six Erlanger locations: Baroness, East, North, Sequatchie, Bledsoe, and Western Carolina.

“We are thrilled to announce the 2025 Erlanger VolunTEEN summer program,” said Callie Vandemark, Service Learning Coordinator. “Come join us at the region’s only teaching hospital and gain valuable hospital experience while compassionately caring for our community and learning about the many rewarding careers in healthcare.”

The VolunTEENs program runs every summer for six weeks in June and July. All applicants must apply in person during one of the scheduled 30-minute interviews. Interviews will be held in Chattanooga, Murphy, NC, Murphy, Bledsoe and Sequatchie from April 2 through April 24.

The program is open to students who are rising sophomores through rising college freshmen. Participants must be 15 years old by June 1, 2025. To learn more about the VolunTEEN program, visit erlanger.org/volunteering.
