ACP Selects Dr. Love as WEL’s Scholar

    Dr. Love will join a distinct group of four other women in this Women’s Wellness through Equity and Leadership and Diversity project to represent women in the field of Internal Medicine across the country and internationally. She is also the Discipline Clinical Internal Medicine Chair at Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine at Auburn campus while preparing/training medical students to become compassionate, competent, culturally competent physicians. Dr. Love continues to provide her medical ministry of services with her knowledge and expertise via TV, Radio, Zoom, newsletter, etc on Covid-19 and other diseases topics and health prevention and promotion. She has volunteered her time with Covid testing in making sure her community is educated and informed.

    The Women’s Wellness through Equity and Leadership (WEL) project is a collaborative effort among 10 leading U.S. medical associations to foster the next wave of  Physician leaders: ACP, American Academy of Family Physicians, American Academy of Pediatrics, American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, American Hospital Association, American Medical Association, American Medical Women’s Association, American Psychiatric Association, National Hispanic Medical Association, and National Medical Association.
