Town hall election meeting with blurred debate scene concept. A microphone at a political event with diverse supporters.

The Chattanooga National Action Network (NAN), led by Dr. Elenora Woods, D.D.S., President, in partnership with the Tennessee Democracy Network represented by Julia Bates, and the Pi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Social Justice Committee chaired by Jennifer Woods, will host two nonpartisan Candidates Election Forums ahead of the 2026 Hamilton County elections. The events are sponsored by the Alton Park Development Corporation and WPTP 100.1 FM Radio.

The first forum will be held April 16, 2026, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at the Chattanooga Civic Center, 701 Hooker Road, featuring all candidates seeking a seat on the Hamilton County Commission.

The second forum will take place April 23, 2026, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM, also at the Chattanooga Civic Center, highlighting all candidates running for Hamilton County School Board Representative positions.

These forums are open to the public and provide an opportunity for voters to hear directly from the candidates, understand their priorities, and engage in meaningful civic dialogue.

Candidates wishing to campaign and fundraise during the event inside or outside the building may purchase a booth for $100.

“Fundraising” is ONLY allowed for candidates who purchase a booth.

All organizations involved in hosting these two Candidates forums are nonpartisan 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations committed to voter education and community empowerment.
